Students at Mount Ridley College are exposed to a wide variety of Art and Technology subjects.
At Mount Ridley College these subjects are taught in our 'DICE' Centre.
This stands for Design, Innovation, Creation, Exploration.

This building houses our Design Technology subjects that allows students to work with a range of materials including wood, metal, plastics and fabrics. Design Technology and STEM classes are taught at years 7, 8 and 10; with vibrant classes at VCE where students are tasked with design, research, testing, building and evaluating products of their own choosing.

Our digital technologies lead to Year 12 Software Development and Data Analytics. Students develop skills in programming, gathering data and designing software solutions in Years 8 and 10. Year 10 provides students the opportunity to compare different directions in ICT with two subjects; Computer Coding and Robotics and Data Information and Web Design that each prepare students for the VCE courses.
We have a STEM room, along with a Robotics room and two computer labs that are used in conjunction with Laptops to provide all students with the chance to use ‘state of the Art’ equipment in a purpose-built facility.
Food Technology remains one of the popular choices among students. In our purpose-built kitchens and café students at years 6, 9, 10, 11 and 12 enjoy the chance to learn about food in the modern world; from production to consumption. The curriculum has a strong focus on sustainability and our food technology team is always coming up with news ways to motivate and excite students about the opportunities that exist in the food technology space.
