MRC Community Hub

Mount Ridley College are thrilled to host an onsite Community Hub program in conjunction with "Community Hubs Australia".

Our hub is situated on the Early Years Campus and offers programs five days per week for our newly arrived families and families in the area.

Community hubs are supported by funding partners including the Scanlon Foundation, the Australian Government, and state and local governments. Local schools, the private sector and the community sector also provide support. 

 

The program is guided by advisory groups at three levels – at the local level, school principals and key partner agencies; at the state level, government and stakeholder organisations; and a national advisory committee of experts from a range of disciplines.

 

The MRC Community Hub is focussed on providing programs in four main areas and the timetable changes each term based on need.

The areas are:

Engage and connect families in culturally diverse communities.

Build pathways to volunteering and employment.

Connect preschool children into playgroups and prepare them for school.
